Why did you decide to work at KGA?
I joined KGA because I am passionate about supporting local communities to adapt to the impacts of climate change. With a background in environmental science, I wanted to apply my knowledge in a practical way that creates real impact. KGA provides the opportunity to work directly with communities to strengthen resilience, improve livelihoods, and support sustainable food systems in the Solomon Islands.
What do you like about this organisation or its members?
I value KGA’s strong commitment to working with local communities and its focus on promoting indigenous knowledge alongside sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices. This approach plays an important role in improving livelihoods, strengthening food security, and building climate resilience among rural farming communities.
I also appreciate the supportive and collaborative environment within KGA and its members, who are dedicated to working closely with communities to create practical and meaningful change. The organisation’s commitment and teamwork make it a positive space for learning, sharing knowledge, and contributing to community development.
My interests
My interests focus on community development and climate resilience initiatives that create real and lasting impact for local communities.
I am particularly passionate about working with women, men, and youth to support empowerment and active participation in development activities.
I also have a strong interest in helping communities access the support they need, whether through my work within KGA or through wider community engagement activities that strengthen livelihoods and resilience.

Building Confidence in Communication: Policy Pitch Capacity Building presented by Crystal Koala
As part of the Climate Resilient Farming in the Pacific Islands Program, the goal of the session is to strengthen farmer organizations’ ability to clearly communicate and advocate for farmers’ priorities.
