Slippery Cabbage with Ngali Nut

Ingredients
  

  • 2 bunches Slippery cabbage
  • 2 bowls Ngali nut - baked or fresh
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 litre Water

Equipment

  • steamed banana leaves or aluminium foil or steam
  • 1 bowl/basin
  • 1 pot
  • 1 tablespoon
  • 2 knives - big & small
  • 1 tongs

Procedure
 

  1. Mashed ngali nut with a stick in a wooden bowl.
  2. Prepare a cooking area and lit the fire.
  3. Add 1 litre of water in a pot and put the pot on fire.
  4. Add slippery cabbage when the water on the fire is boiling.
  5. Use tongs to turn the slippery cabbage around the pot until well cooked.
  6. Remove water for the pot and add the mashed ngali nut.
  7. Stir thoroughly until the ngali nut is spread evenly on the leaves of slippery cabbage.
  8. Add salt to taste.
  9. Serve and eat with baked/boil potato or cassava.
