Nineteen young farmers have been trained at attachments at Burns Creek as well as Turusuala Community Based Training Centre.  Six of these youths were visited by KGA Youth services manager Mary Esekana.  They were making good progress in their application of organic farming.

Training attachments include training in:

  • organic farming
  • open sun nursery
  • improved local kokorako
  • seed production
  • agroforestry

Training attachments at Burns creek include hands on training and work on the Zai Na Tina organic farm run by Joini Tutua. They also assist the PMN with its central link seed garden and seed bank also located at Burns Creek.

If you are interested in joining an attachment program with a farmer school please contact Mary Esekana
